Autumn

Autumn is here again and things are a bit quieter now that the tourist season has died down a bit. The woods have become almost silent lately and only things that I could hear the other day were the sound of insects, a few birds and lots of squirrels running up into the trees as I walked by. The only people that I saw in a two hour walk were the golfers on the golf course. It certainly is good to be able to walk away on your own for a few hours and get a bit of silence away from everything.
These photo's were taken on a walk from Budleigh Salterton to Sidmouth which I would recommend doing the other way round, that way you don't have to walk up two big hills near the end of your walk. One of the photo's is a picture of a local pleasure boat that I saw the other evening when sitting on the beach. It's the kind of boat that has a bar on and is full of people, it is quite fun to watch this mobile-disco drunkboat listing through the serene water as night falls.
