Hello there and choukran Reem. No I couldn't get any closer than this unfortunately, they fly up and down the river so fast that they are very hard to photograph, so I was quite pleased with this image. It would be nice to get a photo of one when it settled but it didn't happen this day, maybe another time. I've never managed to get a photo of a damselfly before. Hope all is good where you are!

Hi John

Happened to see a damselfly in tearoom in Prague yesterday, which we though quite strange as it's in the centre.
We looked it up in Czech
It is called - šidélko

Great foto - if it had landed it would have folded its wings and I don't reckon you would have had as good a shot

cheers

Hi aferrismoon. An unusual place to find a damselfly then, maybe far from water. Always good to see one anywhere I think, such beautiful creatures. I was quite happy with the photo, I thought the reflection was nice. We've just had a week of folk festival here, good fun but I'm glad it's over, it's been exhausting. Hope all good in Prague.
