Vernon Hills illustration seems very appropriate at the moment; the weather has felt just like this lately.This winter has been very mild with hardly any frosts, I have seen bees and butterflies every couple of days throughout the winter.Butterflies used to be a symbol of summer and such a pleasure to observe but now I look at them and can't help thinking that something has gone wrong here.The Vernon Hill illustration indicates that this extreme wind may not have been that unusual for march.
